I work with older teens and adults navigating a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem and identity concerns, executive functioning challenges, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, college and career transitions, and other periods of change or uncertainty.
As a Perinatal Mental Health Certified therapist (PMH-C), I also work with individuals experiencing concerns related to pregnancy and postpartum, trying to conceive and fertility treatment, pregnancy and infant loss, and the transition to parenthood. Life changes can sometimes leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative and individualized to you. My goal is to provide a warm, genuine, and supportive environment where you feel comfortable talking openly, gaining a better understanding of yourself and what you are experiencing, and finding practical strategies that fit your needs and your life. I am an in-network provider with most major insurances including BCBS, United, Cigna and Aetna plans. I am currently only seeing clients through Video Telehealth. |
APPROACHABOUTH ME |
I use an integrative, person-centered approach tailored to the needs of each client. I draw from evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, trauma-informed care, strengths-based interventions, and solution-focused therapy.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Appalachian State University and have 10 years of experience in the mental health and social work field. I am licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and am a Perinatal Mental Health Certified therapist (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International.
